BAGNOLO
PIENZA
The farmhouse Bagnolo is situated a few kilo-metres from Pienza and can be reached through the provincial road which connects Pienza to Santa Anna Abbey, famous for its frescoes by Sodoma and for having been the site to the film The English Patient. The agritourism is located on a peaceful and panoramic position, plunged into the unchanged landscape of the Siennese clayhills.
Guests can enjoy:
- a large panoramic garden
- a small playground for children
- a small lake for fishing
- an inner courtyard to have meals in the open air
The agritourism belongs to a family-owned large farm which extends on 200 hectares of cultivated land, pastures and woods. The main activities of the farm are stock rearing (sheep and a special breed of pigs farmed free in the woods and poultry) and the production of Pecorino cheese from Pienza.
Guests oan take part in the various activities of the farm like:
- agricultural activities
- zootechnical activities
- picking up olives
- the production and seasoning of Pecorino cheese
