A family owned traditional and charming hotel and restaurant located in the historic center of Celle Sul Rigo, a medieval town 5km from San Casciano dei Bagni, site of the famous thermal spa CENTRO TERMALE FONTEVERDE.
The CANESTRI family has owned and run La Pace since the 1930s and the traditional cuisine has passed from generation to generation. The business goes back to the time of the Carducci, the family of the famous Italian poet winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1906. In , the Carducci family lived in Celle Sul Rigo for a period of time since his father was the medical officer. The book Albo o contains an authentic photograph of the house where the Carducci lived which was next to an inn called “Locanda La Pace.”
