Departure from Piazza Italy Chianciano, following the signs for Montepulciano, with the path that starts with a short series of switchbacks uphill and winds for the next 8 miles, in the ups and downs that have as main part of a fairly long climb, but pedaled well, and the subsequent descent brings us to the crossroads of San Biagio. Here you turn left, to Pienza, where you arrive after about 12 km. of road that is not particularly hilly, except for the last short but steep climb that meets just before entering the village. At the intersection, which is located right in the center of Pienza, turn left and face a series of switchbacks that lead us down in the heart of Val d'Orcia. At the next crossroads you must turn left again, following the signs for Radipole - Contignano, the intersection of La Victoria, turn left towards Chianciano. After crossing the pass of La Foce, Chianciano we return again.Departure from Piazza Italy Chianciano, following the signs for Montepulciano, with the path that starts with a short series of switchbacks uphill and winds for the next 8 miles, in the ups and downs that have as main part of a fairly long climb, but pedaled well, and the subsequent descent brings us to the crossroads of San Biagio.
