The Cantiere Internazionale d & rsquo; Art, founded in 1976 by
Hans Werner Henze in Montepulciano and is renewed every year in the
second half & agrave; & nbsp; July.
It & rsquo; l & rsquo; meeting of professionals and young talents, Italians and foreigners, adults and children. The various activities & agrave; Educational grown in recent years from major orchestras and opera houses show that the constitutive principle of the Shipyard & egrave; than ever. Montepulciano therefore continues to offer every summer operas, various forms of experimental theater, symphonic and chamber music: a real & ldquo; & rdquo yard; where all the artists are working without a cachet gi & agrave; for 34 years.
In the coming years will be structured with the support and aesthetic ideal of & ldquo; & rdquo Divine Comedy; Dante: 2009 & egrave; dedicated & Outdoors; idea of & rsquo; Inferno, while 2010 will be & agrave; linked to Purgatory and 2011 at the Paradise.
Operas, musical theater
In the next three years, each edition will dedicate & agrave; a space to a comic opera of the classical period: starting quest & rsquo; year & ldquo; The Barber of Seville & rdquo; in the original version of Giovanni Paisiello. Directed & egrave; headed by Caterina Panti Liberovici, while the singers selected will be Francesco Marseille (tenor), Laura Catrani (soprano), Leonardo Nibbi (comic bass), Giulio Alvise Caselli (baritone), G & eacute; rard Lavalle (bass), David Zacchigna (tenor) Marco Calabrese (bass).
