In 1912, the death of Peter the owner and holder of Pharmacy Marignani, the young pharmacist Cesare Betti, abilitatosi in 1907, was appointed director of the pharmacy by the notary's son Marignani. In 1929, Cesare buy exercise and changes its name to Pharmacy Betti.
On the death of Caesar, in 1953, he became the owner's son Mario, who in 1955 moved the pharmacy from home "historic", located in Piazza XX Settembre, in new premises in the flat area of the country then known as Pieve di Sinalunga, even then booming.
Due to the sensitivity of Mario, the old furniture in the former headquarters arrived to this day. In fact, he has always wanted to exploit them functionally combining them with the necessary modern furniture and, in 1979, took steps to have them restored by a renowned craftsman from Siena, the Taddeucci.
In 2005, with the death of Mario he took over his son Cesare, the current owner of the pharmacy and by his daughter Carolina, which in a few years will be joined by the brothers Francesco and Maddalena, currently students of "Pharmacy" at the University of Siena. It has thus come to the fourth generation "Pharmacists Betti", ensuring an enviable management continuity to this ancient and glorious activities.
The realization of the ancient furnishings from the pharmacy, in nineteenth-century Empire style, is attributed to the famous Sienese architect Agostino Fantastic, which are found decorative motifs the shelf where there is the access door to the back room: fan with a central golden sun, in the decorations of shelving: sphinx heads and leaves, green and golden on top, in oval rose present in the door, the counter and the cash recognized as an unmistakable symbol.
Of the kit I am to be reported thirty glass vases and ceramic, all still intact. br> Those ceramics are characterized by three different types: ITALY

Finally, classic pieces of the ancient apothecary kit are: the great bronze mortar of more than 70 kilograms, a precision scale of the early twentieth century and a wooden press for the production of essences. dated 1856.
