Starting from the center of Sarteano take the road to Chianciano and the second junction turn left towards Castiglioncello Trinoro. Arrived at this location, you can visit the fourteenth century Sienese Gate and the Romanesque church of St. Andrew. After the visit, take the dirt road on the right side of the village, and that leads to La Foce. After a rather difficult climb, we reach the picnic area with picnic tables to the spreaders, passing near the farm of Pietraporciana. From the facilities, we can reach the ancient beech forest of Rocconi or Caterpillar and the Cave of the Hermit. Returning to the spreaders continue on the road to Sarteano. After about 3 km of road, which is part of the paved road that connects with Castiglioncello Trinoro Sarteano, in order to quickly return to the starting point.
